Artist Bio

High Fascination’s sound, described as “pristine and organic” by E Train, is an energetic blend of alternative rock, pop, folk, and psychedelic pop. Started in 2009 as a solo recording project, High Fascination’s first four albums were recorded solely by multi-instrumentalist Andrew Weiss. In September 2012, he began writing and recording with other musicians, releasing 2 albums under the High Fascination umbrella. An EP titled Poster Boy was released in April 2014, followed by the new album Miss Motorama in July 2015. The Music Court compared the music to “a ripe apple: crisp melodies when you sink your teeth into the music and juicy innards when you delve into its intricacies.” High Fascination combines smooth lyrics, melodies, and riffs to create a sound that optimizes both the studio and live performance. Forkster can “certainly see a big appeal for their glowing rock music charm, great tunes here!”

Dave Diamond’s successful career in music spans more than twenty years. A prolific singer/songwriter and session musician, Dave has recorded and performed as a solo artist and with his own band as well as with an array of other talented and acclaimed musicians such as Bob Weir, Donna Jean Godchaux, Robert Randolph, Derek Trucks, and Oteil Burbridge. Diamond has been featured in Modern Drummer and Drum Magazine, and is equally comfortable in abstract and complex musical terrain as evidenced by his contributions to Blow Up Hollywood, the art rock collective led by Steve Messina, and the musical catalogue of poet NYC poet/ songwriter Alan Semerdjian. Diamond has been recently touring to promote his newest full length release with The Dave Diamond Band, which will feature Jason Crosby (Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Robert Randolph), Jeff Mattson, Rob Barraco (Dark Star Orchestra, Zen Tricksters, Phil Lesh) and Jessie Wagner (Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz) among other notable names in the industry.

A New York native, Newman’s musical prowess has taken him around the world several times over, playing with an eclectic mix of noted musical talents from Sting to Elvis Costello, and Travis Tritt as well as his own solo work. A multi stringsman, Mark has mastered electric/acoustic/lap steel guitar as well as the mandolin and dobro, and with a voice reminiscent of many rock and bluesmen before him- it has the familiarity of an old friend yet the power and soul of many of today’s rock, soul, folk and R&B icons. For over five years, Newman and fellow songwriter Naomi Margolin have run the “Music From the Hive” Singer/Songwriter Series, and for the past two years- “The Original Music Series” for bands, in an attempt to keep original music alive on Long Island. Newman also records and produces local artists in the Long Island/NYC area.
