Hill & Ward

Joyful, high-energy grace and faith are the messages in the music of Christian singer-songwriters Eileen Hill and Charlie Ward. Leaving your spirit strengthened and your heart happy, this is Good News music that rocks the soul. Popular on the Long Island Christian music scene, Hill and Ward have so far released three CD collections with their studio band, Trinity Express - Believe!, Waiting For Heaven, and their latest release, God’s World.

Their music ministry began in 2004 at Holy Cross Lutheran church in Lake Ronkonkoma NY, where under the leadership of Pastor Claudia Raggie, Christian rock music became an integral part of special worship services and community events. From there, Hill & Ward began to write, record and minister together, taking their music out into the Long Island community and networking with other Christian artists to form the Christian Artist Alliance (CALL). As the extended music ministry of Holy Cross, Hill & Ward have performed over the years at Central Park, Jones Beach, Holy Cross CALL events, Rushing Wind Biker church, and various charitable events, churches, coffee houses, and nursing homes across Long Island.

Hill & Ward’s “I Believe In You” has been covered by Jeannie Ortega and released on her Perfect Love Deluxe CD, and they have co-written “Insanely Blessed” with Jeannie for her newest CD (“Love Changed Me”), recorded in Nashville and released in November 2016. Their current project in progress, “God Is Real”, features a vocal collaboration with top local artists including Jeannie Ortega, Sam Powell and many others. The song is intended to help launch a broader God Is Real movement, stay tuned for further developments.

“At the root is praise and the heart of worship, and it can be said that Hill & Ward represent a new style of Gospel music for a new age” (Allen Cuffey, Rev 7)

Sam Powell

Psalm 96 begins, “Sing to the LORD a new song...” With a new energy and ministry outlook, Sam Powell is endeavoring to do just that as he is deep into the writing and recording of his 4th studio album of biblically oriented music entitled “Soul Set Free.” Where Sam’s last CD, “Go to Nineveh,” was more of an evangelistically-themed effort, these new songs are much more personal in nature and were born out of experiences of the last few years, with the prayer that they might encourage listeners to resist the devil and call upon the healing power of God’s grace!

Sam’s special gift is performing his music on a multitude of instruments – guitar, piano, alto and soprano saxophone, trumpet and flugelhorn, and of course, his voice! Sam is the bassist in the popular bands FM: A Steely Dan Tribute and Sir Duke, playing the music of Stevie Wonder.
Sam is a Jewish believer in Jesus, raised in Brooklyn, NY, and living on Long Island. By day, Sam is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for a successful design firm and he leads worship at his home church in Centereach. He has 3 children with his wife and ministry partner, Theresa.

Peter is the President and founder of Christian Music Ministry of America (CMMA) which has sponsored many events in the tri-state area including the Jones Beach Christian Concert Series and the Long Island Christian Music Festival. CMMA has also helped raise thousands for the poor on Long Island. Peter has just released his fourth compact disc entitled “We Are One Body”. The theme of the album is the unity of the body of Christ.
