Artist Bio
LIVE AFTER DEATH first formed in the summer of 1997 with one purpose in mind: to play Iron Maidens "Live After Death" album in its entirety for a few friends in a few local bars. Who could have imagined that the band would be still be tearing it up 16 years later? Up until 2000, Live After Death was just content with being Long Island and New York Citys Ultimate Iron Maiden tribute, but then the set list grew to 45 songs, websites and email lists expanded and other states came calling. To date weve played in 11 different states in the USA. In 2003, Puerto Rico became part of our yearly shows and weve since visited the island 4 times. Weve played three times at San Juans Hard Rock Cafe and on one trip flew on the smallest plane legally allowed to fly and played the Hard Rock Cafe (now closed) on the island of St. Thomas. In 2006, Live After Death went international with a show in Trinidad for 1200 metal-loving Trinidadians. The show was so successful that we were asked back 3 more times and regularly play shows for 2500-3000 hard rock fans. Whether its a rock club or a concert venue, Live After Death can create a show that duplicates the performance of Iron Maiden like no other tribute band can. Contact us for any idea you may have for a tribute show. We have a great relationship with many promoters, venues, and fellow tribute bands. This is not band trying to promote a different agenda or do a jam of some covers for beer money; this is a group of five solid musicians who take their love for Iron Maiden seriously. See why those who love Iron Maiden tributes love LIVE AFTER DEATH.
The members of the band take great pride in creating the next best thing to a live Ozzy performance that transports you through time to experience the energy of Ozzy Osbourne capturing his solo career from Randy Rhoads to Zakk Wylde. As the song says, “You can’t kill rock-n-roll, it’s here to stay!” Ozzmosis proves it every time. Join us on this journey of classic metal and relive the complete Ozzy phenomenon.
Jack Fontana, Virgil Varan, Dave Matasavich, Griff, and Mike Haupt deliver the most authentic Judas Priest tribute anywhere. Stand by for EXCITER
